About me
Getting started
Born and raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Inspired by design courses in high school (thank you Mr. Higgins), I headed west to Montana State University. Graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design, I started my design career in production design, but shortly after, I needed to spread my wings and I started freelancing.
Early career
As a freelancer, I picked up a very wide range on clients both under my business, and a contract designer in a marketing firm. My clients were local, Montana’esque companies that focused on meat, guns, animal conservation, and vegan ice cream (what a range amirite?). My contracting time was spent working on Clarasonic, Remington and IT Cosmetics. To say there was variety would be an understatement.
Finding meaning
After a brief stint in New Mexico, I landed at a travel focused marketing agency in our nation’s capital, focusing my career on UI/UX Design. There we worked with clients like Royal Caribbean, Universal Studios as well as internal marketing efforts, like the yearly international travel conference they held. It was here that I met my wife, insulting her horribly by saying “I don’t care” about which design option she went with. I maintain it was because both we are excellent, and she will hold it over me to my grave.
Despite my raging liberal tendencies and never caring much for civic duty, the sirens call of government work got to me. My clients range from National Intelligence to State agencies. Currently, I’m an Associate Creative Director at Deloitte Digital, helping improve our governments digital presence one pixel at a time.
